Advocacy with Transportation Ministry

CIL Kathmandu advocacy team visited Ministry of Physical Construction and Transportation and met Ms. Pramila Devi Raj Bhandari, Joint Secretary of the Ministry. The team introduced the challenges that all people with disability are facing on public buses due to not well customized structure for enabling access to divers people. Similarly, the team requested to give priority on accessible electric public buses so that everyone can have easy access and “No one left behind” on utilizing public utility. The Secretary informed about ongoing project of purchasing electric buses and committed to purchase some accessible bus for all.
